Vacation in Florida!

A week in Florida! Great fun had by all. With some of the whitest sand and clearest water anywhere, the Florida Panhandle is a great place to visit. Robert caught a bucket full of hermit crabs. Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Thanks for staying, Coach Corbin.

It's not often that a school like Vanderbilt University can keep a coach that's been wooed by one of the most successful collegiate athletics programs in the history of the NCAA, but that's exactly what happened late last month. Coach Tim Corbin decided to stay in Nashville to finish what he started. According to Coach Corbin:

"... I think I have one of the best jobs in the country right here at Vanderbilt. The administration has shown a tremendous amount of support for the program and I believe we are building something special here."

Coach, thanks for staying. Keep building a winner. We're behind you 100%.

Japanese Prime Minister Visits Tennessee

Well, who knew that Mr. Koizumi was Elvis Presely's biggest fan? He was certainly treated like "the King" at Graceland, with a personal tour of the house and grounds directed by Pricilla and Lisa Marie!!

My wife and I visited Graceland ealier this year for the first time, and I must say that it's very entertaining even without the 'insider' tour. It must have been very special for our Japanese guests!

With large Japanese subsidiaries like Nissan USA, Brigestone/Firestone, and Denso headquartered here in Tennessee, I gather that we are becoming big in Japan.
